A conviction, same as a plea of guilty, of either of these charges will result in loss of drivers license for 6 months besides all of the other possible ramifications, such as jail, fines, enhancement of future same offenses (in the case of Marijuana), loss of employment, and loss of the possibility of future employment. I get clients regularly that come to me after having entered guilty pleas, and after finding out they’ve lost their license as a result, wondering what they can do now. Often times, those pleas can and do get set aside along with the loss of drivers license. But, why risk the possibility of them not being set aside? See an experienced attorney BEFORE going to court. Protect your freedom and your future!
